A Bitter Sweet Valentine

Hey all!

Here's another belated event post.

HAPPY BELATED VALENTINES DAY! 

Hope all you lovers out there got to have a nice day out or in for this special day.

As for me, I had to fly off on the 12th so celebrating on the 14th was a no-no. =(

My boy works at really odd hours so dinner was really hard to schedule ><

We ended up having dinner at Plan B on the 9th. ^^

Check the food out!!

It was so yummmmmmmeeeeehhhhhhhh!!

Craving satisfied.

 Now I have cravings for it again cause of this post >< 

You guys in Malaysia should def try the food at Plan B! 

Anywayz! To the nails! 

I technically did not paint this for this specific dinner since I didn't really know when we were going to have the dinner so....

I call this Bee Love since it's black and yellow and have dotted black hearts XD

A Belated Gong Xi Fa Cai

Elo all nail art lovers!

I know it's a bit late but...

GONG XI FA CAI!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

Since I have the time, I thought I would post something.

I'm on a roadtrip with my parents on Melbourne's Great Ocean Road.

It's kinda supposed to be their anual honeymoon slash sending me back to Melbourne for second term slash helping me move into my new apartment slash a trip for grandpa since he really wanted to go on one.

Anywayz...back onto nail polish!
I could only do a simple CNY mani since I had to fly off on the 3rd day of CNY.

The chinese writing on my thumb 蛇 means snake since it's the year of the snake.

The word on my ring finger 喜喜 means double happiness for the upcoming new year ^^

Sorry that my calligraphy is so bad XD 

The other nails are painted with China Glaze Happy Go Lucky and topped with Nubar's Black Polkadot which is my absolute favorite layering polish ever! XD

I didn't get to bring my polish with me on the roadtrip but shall continue doing my nails when I move in properly when I get back to Melbourne! 

For some weird reason, my nails hate Melbourne and they always break when I get here...-.-...waiting for them to grow out now but short nails are still paint-a-ble so no biggie =D

Catching my Breath for Valentines

You know...

I really wonder what you guys a.k.a my readers think about my oh so corny blog titles!?

Want to know the reason for todays cheesy title?

Well even if you don't, I'm still gonna tell you! XD

'Catching my Breath' is because I was listening to Kelly Clarkson's song at the time and the 'Valentines' is because I'm gonna show you a Valentines design! 

I know I know! 

I haven't been posting so often and more seldom than ever...

Sighhhhhh gonna be flying back to Aussie soon so I'm trying to fit in as much friend, family and boyfie time as I can...I'll probably be back to blogging regularly back in Aussie since I'm so free XD

X'Mas '12 - Prezzies

Hey nail art lovers! ^^

Are you all done with your Christmas shopping yet?

I bet you aren't!! =P

Do you wrap your presents in bright green wrapping paper and tie it with a bright red ribbon? Maybe some of you do and some of you don't. 

Christmas colours are definitely red and green to me. 

Classic never gets old. How ironic.

Somehow...these days...I've been thinking of doing manis for other people but so far I've only done manis for friends and family. The main reason I don't what to do it to strangers is because I usually take a long time to paint depending on the design. Wouldn't it be so embarrassing to make your customer sit for like 4 hours straight while I paint her nails? Doing my own nails is one thing since I actually enjoy it but sitting down and doing nothing is just frustrating >< 

Sorry about the small rant peeps.

One of my buyers told me that she bought this for her best friend as a Christmas present!

I was so happy when she shared it with me though the reason she started a convo with me in the first place was because her package hadn't arrived yet. In the end, the package was at the post office waiting to be collected =P

X'Mas '12 - A Sweet Candy Cane Christmas

What pops into your head when someone says Christmas?

Presents?

Toys?

Santa?

How about candy canes!!

Christmas is just not complete unless you have had a candy cane! 

I remember this one Christmas when my aunt brought home a gigantic candy cane for me and it took me months to finish it! MONTHS!! It was THAT big >< 

Here's a candy cane mani that's a bit too big!

Not sure if you guys can tell from the pics but I used wayyyyyyy too many layers of polish for this mani although it looks like a pretty normal french mani...it has 15 layers of polish ><

Why 15?

It's because I was really excited on trying out the jelly mani thing since I got a set of OPI mini NYC Ballet Petites and it ended up like that...

In the end, I could actually peel them off my nail completely intact as it was!

=P

I forgot to take a pic of them tho ><

Oh well!

So as a reminder to you! Go get some candy canes and share them around!

X'Mas '12 - A very Domo Christmas

Jingle bells~ Jingle bells~

Elo!! 

It's sounds like it's going to be a very merry Christmas!

You know why?

Because for the first time in my life, I'm going out for Christmas dinner with my boyfriend and friends! though it's a few days earlier 

Speak of the devil! 

I got the inspiration for this X'Mas mani from one of the girlfriends I'll be having dinner with! XD

You see rite...she was wearing this Domo t-shirt when we went out a while back then I kept staring at it for some reason then it finally hit me!! I should paint Domo Christmas nails!! XD 

So that's how this mani came to be! =D

Kinda failed on the floppy Christmas hats tho >< 

Oh well!! Domo is still Domo in the end and he is excited for X'Mas!!
