Hi guys!
I'm finally back from Japan and coincidentally I'm just in time for St Patty's Day!
I couldn't wait to start using my new polishes I got from Japan! These are the colours I used:
Yellow - Bon Bon
Green - Bon Bon
Clover - Sally Hansen
Glitter - Pa
Top Coat - Glisten & Glow HK Girl
Base Coat - Essie Nail Hardener
Gel Base - Gelist Clear Base
Yes...I started using gel! I'm quite happy with the gel since it makes my nail hard and strong. I'm still looking for a new brand of nail polish remover and a place that sells 100% pure acetone...
Look forward to my nail haul from Japan! I'm so excited and you should be too!
That's it for this post!
Cheers!

Bubble Trees
Hey all!
Here's the continuation of yesterday's mani!
I call them bubble trees!! The best part is that I have a picture tutorial for you guys so you can paint them yourself! This is probably my first time making a tutorial so bear with the bad photos and instructions! Here we go!
Here's the continuation of yesterday's mani!
I call them bubble trees!! The best part is that I have a picture tutorial for you guys so you can paint them yourself! This is probably my first time making a tutorial so bear with the bad photos and instructions! Here we go!
- Use Christmas colours (or any colour you like) using the Nimbus Bubbles technique (tutorial on The Nailasauraus)
- Overlap lightning nail vinyls (i'm using ones from Teismom) with the lightning facing out until it forms a tree shape
- Cut off the excess at the top until it is pointed
- Paint over the sides of the vinyls, making sure that you do not get any polish on the middle and the bottom of the nail as there will be exposed areas
- Remove the vinyls and apply your favourite top coat (I'm using Glisten & Glow HK Girl)
That's it! I hope you enjoyed the tutorial and I will see you soon!
P/S: Don't forget to tag me @chronosz on instagram if you used the tutorial!
Cheers!

May You Have A Bubble Christmas!
Hey guys!
So I just finished Day 2 of Blogilates #Decemburn Calender! I have a love hate relationship with cardio...
Anyway! I decided to do something with my current mani but I shall leave it till tomorrow to show you guys that mani!
First, let me share my current mani. I tried out Nailasaurus's youtube tutorial on the nimbus bubbles technique. I definitely need more practice but practice makes perfect as they say.
Colours used:
White - OPI Alpine Snow
Red - OPI Big Apple Red
Green - Sally Hansen Emerald City
Look forward to the surprise tomorrow!
Cheers!

#HalloweenChallenge2013 Day 5 - Zombie
Hello all!
More challenge manis!
So October 5th's theme is zombie...
gwahhhhhhhhhhhh
(did you just think the gwahhhhhh in a zombie voice?)
=P
As you can see, I am terrible at drawing zombies...thus only the hand it visible! XD
I was going for a gory look for the framed nails...I think it looks good =)
This is the pic with the instagram filter.
I think it looks more gory! Which is awesome! XD
That's it for this post!
The next theme is witches which I am quite excited about!
I've got some designs prepared and might be using some konad stamps as well
Till next time!
Cheers!

September...A Month of Challenges...Day 1
Hello all!
It is the 1st of September,
It is the 1st of September,
I am currently on Spring break,
Today is my mother's birthday,
and it is the first day of @californails #nailartsept challenge!
The first deems it is time for camo nails!
Camo is short for camouflage...if you didn't already know! XD
This is actually my first time attempting camo nails.
I don't think it's the best but looks good to me!
Look forward to more designs yeah!
I've got a really great swatch for you guys which I will upload tonight.
That's it for this post.
Cheers,
-Jing-

Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat Polish : Wool Knot
Elo nail art lovers! <3
Long time no see.
It is great to say that I have bought my first ever texture polish.
I saw this baby at Priceline.
Long time no see.
It is great to say that I have bought my first ever texture polish.
I saw this baby at Priceline.
Two coats with no topcoat
Wool Knot with Essie Green Apple Mint as a base
No topcoat
With topcoat
Now, I was really excited when I got this polish. I've heard so much about textured polishes (not this specific brand or polish). Sad to say that I was quite disappointed with the fuzzy coat. Why? Because unlike it's name, it's no fuzzy. The first question that pops into my head when someone says 'textured polish' is "What does is feel like?". No texture, no deserve the name of textured polish.
Anyway, Sally Hansens Fuzzy Coat Collection reminds me glitter polishes. Hard to apply, hard to remove and layering it is best. Wook knot is a clear polish with blue and white fibers in it. It is hard to apply because the polish is a bit gooey. Multiple layers are needed to get the 'fuzzy' look.
That's it for this polish.
Cheers,
-Jing-

Funky lonely leopard
Yo!
I was supposed to post this yesterday but I had a headache and couldn't do it =S
Anyway...my parents left for Malaysia yesterday and me ish all alonezzz in Aussie land...
Class hasn't even started yet so I have even more time than usual thus more blogging XD
So here's the NOTD
The colour in the pic is a bit off because of the lighting but it's actually Sinful Colors - Easy Going...it's supposed to be a light violet pink...the leopard came out pretty well though ^^
I painted this after my parents left and I had nothing else to do...
Thinking whether should I paint my nails everyday or not but if I do then my nails suffer and I don't want that...
First world nail dilemmas...sighhhhhh
That's it for this post!
Check ya guys out later!!
Cheers!

X'Mas '12 - Prezzies
Hey nail art lovers! ^^
Are you all done with your Christmas shopping yet?
I bet you aren't!! =P
Do you wrap your presents in bright green wrapping paper and tie it with a bright red ribbon? Maybe some of you do and some of you don't.
Christmas colours are definitely red and green to me.
Classic never gets old. How ironic.
Here's my Prezzie mani.
I really like this mani!
I wish I would get a Christmas present wrapped like this XD
Wouldn't it be awesome?!
Somehow...these days...I've been thinking of doing manis for other people but so far I've only done manis for friends and family. The main reason I don't what to do it to strangers is because I usually take a long time to paint depending on the design. Wouldn't it be so embarrassing to make your customer sit for like 4 hours straight while I paint her nails? Doing my own nails is one thing since I actually enjoy it but sitting down and doing nothing is just frustrating ><
Sorry about the small rant peeps.
Needed the let out!
^^
Happy Holidays All!
Cheers!
^^
P/S: Just in case you guys didn't know, I started making accessories and are selling them on etsy.com. XD If you haven't heard of etsy well I suggest you go to www.etsy.com right NOW! =D
Here's one my best sellers!
Antique Silver Infinity Pluggy w/o Chain
One of my buyers told me that she bought this for her best friend as a Christmas present!
I was so happy when she shared it with me though the reason she started a convo with me in the first place was because her package hadn't arrived yet. In the end, the package was at the post office waiting to be collected =P
If you guys haven't found a present yet for anyone.
If anyone at all, then how about this?
It makes me happy when you guys and everyone else out there likes my nail art designs and the accessories that I make!

Watermelon anyone?
There was watermelon at home so I guess I got kinda inspired =P
I haven't tried watermelon nails before so I experimented a bit =)
I'm starting to really like taking my nails from this angle!
This was my first design...the fimos didn't stick well ><
Some fell out when I was asleep and I had to stick others on to replace them =(
The seeds were a challenge for me since blacks didn't really look like seeds...
I didn't know where to position them either =S
All in all it came out well XD
I took this right after I painted them...
Not so clear when I take the photo under my table lamp =(
This is under sunlight...
As usual my right hand has posing issues! >=/
This the second design I did...I think the plain watermelon skin nails are nice...
but the sliced watermelon design looks kinda weird to me =S
This is it for this post!
Tell me which design you prefer! XD
Cheers!

X'Mas Mani 09 - A Christmas Story
Hi All! XD
If you were checking the 12 Days of X'Mas checklist you'd know that the next mani on the list is 'A Christmas Story'!
I didn't really know what it meant by 'A Christmas Story' and when I goggled it, this popped out...
I haven't watch this movie before so I had no idea what to paint for this mani =(
So I just mixed and matched colours! =)
Green Crackle over Bright Yellow!! XD
I absolutely LOVE this combo!!
The lighting was so nice here! =)
Close up on my thumb!
I wish my thumb nail would grow faster! ><
Christmas is a long word...=(
The next mani is the last for Christmas...or is it...>=D
Cheers!

X'Mas Mani Fever
After painting Huey Shan's nails that day...
another friend of mine wanted me to paint her nails! XD
I asked her what she wanted me to paint but she had a hard time deciding...
So what do we do?
Ask Uncle Google!! XD
In the end it was snowflakes, Christmas trees and stars! XD
Sorry I couldn't get a better photo since we did it at night! =P
I took this with my DSLR...it looks sooooo much better right ><
I so need a better digital camera...=(
Oh! 2 more things I need to tell you guys!!
2. I've already painted 'Dickens Christmas Carol' themed nails.
I shall post it up tomorrow when I take a better photo of them! XD
Till tomorrow!
Cheers!

X'Mas Mani 07 - Snow Love
I know I've been slow with updates...><"
I was having a Boys Over Flowers marathon! =P
Anywayz...my friend Huey Shan...do you guys remember her?
She was in my first post!
Yeah! This girl! XD
She had a X'Mas Eve wedding to attend and asked me to paint her nails for her! ^^
After a bit of googling we decided on snowflakes and snowmen! =)
She took this photo while I was painting her nails!
Great composition! =)
Finished product!
Snowflakes and...
Snowmen!!
My hand shook when I was painting the thumb so it ended up being a vampire snowman! =P
I had fun painting the snowmen for her so I picked snowmen for the next design! ^^
Ignore my awful cuticles please ><
I've been looking for a good brand of cuticle oil...
This photo was taken under my reading lamp...
I'll upload a better photo tomorrow...
I just really wanted to make it for Christmas XD
Snow people in love =)
Didn't really know how to draw a female snow person though =S
Till the next design!
Merry Christmas All!
Merry Christmas All!

X'Mas Mani 06 - The Grinch
Ok Ok! Back to X'Mas Manis!
If you checked my 12 Days of X'Mas Mani's Checklist
then you'd know that the next mani is...
THE GRINCH!
I didn't want to leave any nails blank so I incorporated some of the Jim Carrey's How the Grinch Stole Christmas Movie!
There's Cindy Lou Who, The Grinch of course, the x'mas lights Betty Lou Who was hanging on her house and the x'mas tree from when the Grinch was trying to steal it from Cindy's house! ^^
I also tried out Jane from Nailside's Abstract Tree design! XD
Do check her blog out! She's got really cool designs and tutorials! ^^
Here's a closer look at the design!
Cindy Lou's ribbon smudged =(
Here's a closer look at The Grinch!
Please ignore my horrendous cuticle...=(
The Grinch came out pretty well!
I think this is the most intricate design I've done so far! =)
Quite proud of myself at the moment! ^^
See you at the next mani!
Cheers!
P/S: Should I list the colours that I've used after each mani? What do you think?

X'Mas Mani 04 - Sparkling Poinsettias
I know I was supposed to paint Nightmare before Christmas themed nails but I have to attend a relatives wedding tonight and skulls don't actually scream congratulations...=(
So instead of Jack Skellington, I opted for another X'Mas Mani!
Christmas Flowers! or Poinsettias!
I actually looked through a lot of photos of the actually flower and A LOT of tutorials to do the design!
but i ended up experimenting with the design while I was painting the flowers so...
So all the flowers are different designs as you can see...
I'm quite disappointed with the colour combo but I did my best with them!!
From the designs on my right hand you can tell which design I like best! ^^
One more X'Mas mani DOWN!
What do you think about this mani though? TELL ME! ><
Cheers!
See you in halloween town >=)

X'Mas Mani 03 - Hot X'Tree
I got invites to Hot Magazine's Christmas party held at Porto Romano!
As you can see from my previous posts that I like to paint my nails according to the event so....
Christmas Tree!!!
with a side of ornaments and candy canes =D
I got the idea from the poster!
The tree was so cute I couldn't resist!!
Well this also counts as one of the 12 Days of X'Mas Manis!
Crossing it off the list!
Till the next design!
Cheers!

X'Mas Mani 02 - Sweet Candy Canes
Welcome back to X'Mas Manis!
This time I decided on candy canes!
As you can see I did some water marbling for this design!
This is the second time I've attempted water marbling
and am quite proud of myself right now =)
I got the idea after a friend of mine posted
a tutorial by cutepolish on my facebook!
I thought candy canes were the perfect excuse to do it
but it didn't come out as I wanted but still AWESOME! XD
I painted a coat of OPI's Alpine Snow on all my nails beforehand.
I used Sally Hansen's Emerald Green and Elianto's Chili Red to do the marbling.
For the other nails, I painted a coat of Sasatine's G683 for the x'mas glitter!
Then I painted the stripes using the same colours for the marbling!
I had to do the marbling a few times before I got a pattern I liked!
Marbling is hard...I guess that means I need more practice! =P
What design shall I attempt next?
Keep following and find out!
Cheers!

Kiwi Green
I had an interview today to be a brand ambassador and one of the brands was
SALLY HANSEN!
So I especially used Sally Hansen for this mani!
Say Hello to Kiwi Nails!! XD
The only Sally Hansen polishes I had were green...
I used Sally Hansen's Green with Envy for the base.
You can see the swatches here.
The white is OPI's Alpine Snow. The darker green colour beneath the black polish is Sally Hansen's Emerald City and I used OPI's I Only Date Werewolves.
I actually got the idea for this from a post in tumblr...
After google-ing the photo I found that the original post is from cutepolish.
You can check out her Kiwi blog post or
check out her tutorial on how to paint it!
I did mine a bit differently but it managed to look kiwi enough
for my friends and family! ^^
I'll be attempting the 12 days of X'Mas Challenge
so look out for X'Mas manis!!
Cheers!
