Femme Fatale Gravity Lapse Swatch

Hello all!

I'm so excited!!! Can you guess why??

I finally got my very first HOLO polish!!!

*insert heart eyed emoticon*

I am totally in love with holo polishes but sadly enough they're no holo polishes sold in Malaysia or none that i have seen anyway. In this case, I need to stocked up on Glisten & Glow HK Girl from MeiMeiSignature so, I decided to get a holo while I was at it! There were quite a few shades that I liked but budget wise, I could only pick one and lookie who made the cut!

Femme Fatale's Gravity Lapse!

I've been following their insta for quite some time now cause their polishes are so prettyyyyy but this is the first time I've gotten a bottle for myself.

So...you could say this is a double win for me! =D

Anyways, here are the pics! (So hard to take pic of holo)

I should take a video in future to show the beauty of the holo!

Time lapse is a mesmerising purple holo polish but saying that it's just purple is an understatement since the shade changes in different light and angles. You can have pure purple shimmer, gradients of violet in the sun, a sunset shade of orange and red with a tibge of black shimmer...I can hardly explain the beauty of this shade.

I can only say one thing about this polish...it is seriously beautiful! Good work Femme Fatale!

Look forward to some nail art with this baby! =D

That's it for this post! Cheers!

Happy St Patty's Day!

Hi guys!

I'm finally back from Japan and coincidentally I'm just in time for St Patty's Day!

I couldn't wait to start using my new polishes I got from Japan! These are the colours I used:

Yellow - Bon Bon
Green - Bon Bon
Clover - Sally Hansen
Glitter - Pa
Top Coat - Glisten & Glow HK Girl
Base Coat - Essie Nail Hardener
Gel Base - Gelist Clear Base

Yes...I started using gel! I'm quite happy with the gel since it makes my nail hard and strong. I'm still looking for a new brand of nail polish remover and a place that sells 100% pure acetone...

Look forward to my nail haul from Japan! I'm so excited and you should be too!

That's it for this post!
Cheers!

Laval meets Nail Vinyls

Hi all!

I just downloaded the Blogger app on my phone is hopes that I blog more often. Especially since all the photoa are on my phone.

Today's post is a swatch of a UK brand - Laval. My parents recently returned from holiday and got me a few souvenirs! Among the colours, I found this shade really pretty! (Using the blogger app, all photos will be at the bottom of the post, sorry for the inconvenience)

Laval's Blue Lightning is a really sheer blue shimmer polish and when I say sheer I mean really sheer. Even with 3 - 4 coats, I could still see the base of my nails. Never the less, a beautiful colour it is.

After realising it's name, I took it upon myself to have a little fun with some of Teismom's nail vinyls.

Using the lightning vinyl and topping it off with a coat of Faceshop's black polish...blue lightning it became!

Oh the pun...ba dum tsst (do ignore my lame ness)

That's it for this post! Hopefully I get used to this app so I can blog better.

Cheers!

Miss Ashleigh Thermal Polish Kryptonite Swatch

I've got a good one for you guys!

Yup! This awesome thermal polish chocked full of glitter!
Well! I got another one from her recently!

Kryptonite!
From the name, one can already tell that the polish is green in colour.
Unless you haven't heard of Superman
Like all Miss Ashleigh polishes, you get a beautiful opaque shade with 2 layers.
It doesn't chip as fast as other nail polish and it's healthier than other store bought polishes.
Enough talk! Here comes the photos!

Kryptonite is a green based polish with a slight shimmer. It is dark green when cold and bright green when hot. As usual, my body temperature is so hot that I usually get a nice french looking mani as can be seen on the bottom left of the collage above. French mani in bottle! Cool rite! XD

I was also playing around with studs since I haven't used them much and this is what came out of it!

Seriously amazing how I can have so many different types of manis with one polish!
I absolutely love it! I could stare at my nails all day and I did!

Check out her polishes at

Cheers for now!

OPI Shimmers

Hey All!!
So here are some of the swatches from Nail Polish Spree 03!!
I actually ordered these for my friend...

OPI SHIMMERS!!!

I forgot to take photos of the individual bottles ><
I'll be swatching the first and fourth polishes!!
OPI Pink Before You Leap & OPI Animal-istic

OPI Animal-istic

This polish is orange red based shimmer polish. I'm not really one for shimmers and sad to say that this polish didn't make it on my favorite list...=(
If it were just a red shimmer polish I might like it more but this has a strong orange feel to it and the shimmer doesn't stand out...=(

OPI Pink Before You Leap

This is a sheer peachy pink shimmer polish. I like this more than Animal-istic but shimmer seriously isn't my cup of tea =( I think this polish would be best layered on top of a more opaque colour. The swatch is 3 layers and you can still see my nail =( I tried matching it with some of my polishes but nothing looked nice hence no layered mani pics =( but I love the shimmer =)

I'll be posting the rest soon so sit tight! =)

Cheers!

Wedding not wedding inspired

HiHi^^
Sorry for the long non-posts session but my photoshop was on the fritz ><
I couldn't watermark my photos =(
It's fixed now! XD So back to blogging!!

I guess you're probably waiting for a wedding inspired nail design because of the title but did you read it carefully? It says NOT wedding inspired =P
OK! Enough with the shenanigans!!

ON TO THE PICS!!

So...what I meant by 'wedding not wedding inspired' was...

 THIS!!

This was the door gift at my cousin's wedding =)
I put off doing this design for a month+ LOL
I mixed a shimmer and glitter polish get that colour
but I think it would have been nicer with gold khrome polish =S
now you know why I want China Glaze 2030

I really love rhinestones right now!! ><
Anyone know where to buy or order studs from in Malaysia??

That's it for this post!!
Since my photoshop is up and running again the swatches
from Nail Polish Spree 03 will be up soon!! ^^

Cheers!

Topshop Christmas Polishes

So this is one of the swatch posts that I've been meaning to post up!
Topshop Christmas Polishes!!
I got these from my Singapore trip back in January...

It was a kind of 3 for 2 sale so I just got some since they were cheaper! XD

From left: Awol, Moonshine, Remember My Name

It came in a cute zipper bag too! XD
Now on to the swatches!!!

First up is AWOL!

Awol is a sky blue polish.
It is opaque in 3 layers!

The next polish is MOONSHINE!

Moonshine is a gold silvery polish.
I don't know why it came out as a gold shimmer in the photo
but I swear it's a gold silvery shimmer polish! XD
Good polish for dinner events but it streaks as you can tell so
try and apply it in 1 or 2 strokes! =D

Last polish from the pack is REMEMBER MY NAME!

Remember My Name reminds me of a really retro pink polish!
Makes me wanna do a polka dot mani with it!
This polish is also opaque in 3 layers.

That's all I have for you guys in this post!!
I still have more polishes to swatch and post on! XD
Look forward to them!

Cheers!

THE FACESHOP

THE FACESHOP is a korean cosmetics brand.

In my earlier post - Nail Polish Spree 01- ,
I had bought 2 bottles from the faceshop that day.

I don't know how to really explain colours and shades but I'll do my best!

The Faceshop polishes to me are super sheer...
These two are no exception!

Code : BL602 - A sheer blue-purple polish
This is only 1 coat.
2 coats
3 coats

2 coats of BL602 is fine but to get a more solid colour I recommend 3 coats.
It's a beautiful colour and it somehow gives off this metallic feel to it.

Code : BK901 - A black shimmer polish.

I applied 2 coats for this polish and it is so pretty!
It looks like the starry sky!
Sorry I couldn't get a clearer photo but this polish is really REALLY
hard to photograph ><

That's all I have for this post! I'll be back with the others swatches!

Cheers!
